The United Way of Anchorage is a leader in mobilizing the resources of diverse groups to achieve positive and lasting change in the lives of the people in our community. United Way accomplishes this through partnerships with schools, government agencies, businesses, organized labor, financial institutions, community development corporations and others. Each year, the United Way works to advance the common good by focusing on Education, Income and Health - the three building blocks for a good life. The majority of the proceeds of the 2010 CIRI Golf Tournament will go toward educational agencies supported by United Way of Anchorage. These agencies help children enter school ready to succeed, increase graduation rates and empower them to reject violence and substance use.
